Maine DD
Here’s a girl who only posed a few times for me and
perhaps another photographer. Arrives in town on
spring break, needs some money has a friend who tells
her about nude modeling, takers her to World Modeling.
She is only in town for 5 or six days, how much
modeling work can she get? Not a lot in that short a
notice; most photographers already have a booking to
shoot someone, unless they cancel, they just won’t get
this one. Knowing how few and far between a natural DD
is, I booked her for an evening shoot. She said she
was leaving in two days; back to school.

I told her to bring her clothes suitcase with her to
the studio as we might use some of her clothes I the
pictures. I always asked the model to bring something;
you never know there may be something really nice that
will make the shoot. On the other hand if she has
modeled a few times for local photographers, then the
chances are you will get a outfit that she has already
worn in another shoot. I always shopped for new
outfits and kept them on hand, but sometimes you get
lucky and the girl brings something worth shooting.
Heather brought a nice pair of tight shorts and a
white top and bra.

These shots show her selecting an outfit she brought
to the shoot. We did two backgrounds that night,
started at 5:00pm and finished around 11: P.M. she did
her own makeup which took less than 30 minutes. A
professional makeup artist would have taken about 1
hour 30 minutes which would have made the shoot last
past midnight. You don’t want to shoot to long into
the night, it shows on the model face that she’s tired
and the same with photographer.

Heather had a nice tan, a plus for exposure on film.
She seems very enthusiastic about posing, giving me
all the poses I needed for the layouts. Different art
directors and photo editors like different things.
Some want introduction shots that show the model
clothed and then do a strip. Others could care less
about those shots. Some want a roll of complete nudity
of the girl, others just want a bunch of “pink shots”
Gent magazine used to like a close up of the models
cleavage for the cover or covered nipples cover shots.
Juggs used to like the models to bounce and show the
boobs in mid air, others like the low angle shots or
worm eye view of the huge hooter.
You can get an idea of show the sets are built in the
studio from these shots. False walls, lighting just
outside the area of the set.Things strewn everywhere
as we shoot. Polaroid film paper waste, film cartons,
McDonalds food bags.
After the shoot, studio clean up the next day or right
after to get ready for the next days shoot. Sometimes
we would shoot 15 models a month. It got very hectic
with two photographers shooting back to back.
I think the sets of Heather were published in Score
and Juggs.
